PM’s Drugs Vow
The Hunts Post (UK) published an article entitled, “PM’s Drugs Vow,” about how UK Prime Minister Gordon Brown promised that drug manufacturer GlaxoSmithKline will be prosecuted if an investigation finds the company withheld information that the antidepressant Seroxat has a higher risk of suicide for under 18s. This is what he told Janice Simmons, who is campaigning to get the drugs banned and patients trying to come off it given more help. In their meeting today, Brown also told Simmons that the 4-year investigation into this matter by the UK Department of Health was a serious inquiry.
